Behind Not A Shape

Hi, I’m Yilin, the founder of Not A Shape, an independent creative studio based in the Netherlands.

With a background in landscape architecture and experience in parametric design, I’m fascinated by the underlying logic of natural patterns and the endless possibilities of generative forms.

My work explores how these patterns, curves, and systems can be transformed into physical objects through digital design and fabrication.

Through Not A Shape, I experiment with different materials and techniques, creating wearable pieces, objects, and sculptural forms. I’m also exploring the intersection of parametric design, 3D printing, and interactive technologies, connecting the digital and physical worlds.
